Stranger Breaks Into Celine Dion’s House To Use Bath

Montreal police have arrested a man, Daniel Bedard, for breaking into the home of French-Canadian singer Celine Dion who resides in Laval, Quebec, where he took his bath and raided her fridge, the BBC has reported.
According to police spokesman Franco Di Genova, Bedard, 36 climbed over the fence and then broke into the house using a garage door opener. Celien Dion and her husband Rene Angelil were not at home at the time of the incident.
He opened the water faucets, was pouring a nice warmish bath,’ Di Genova said. ‘He even managed to eat some pastry that was in the fridge.’
Bedard eventually set off the house’s security alarm and then claimed he was a ‘family friend’ of the couple when he was questioned.
Bedard has been charged with breaking and entering, car theft and property damage; and has also been sent to the hospital for psychiatric evaluations, but has been released.
Dion who released her last album ‘Taking Chances’ in 2007and Angelil, 69, are parents to son Rene-Charles, 10, and twin boys Eddy and Nelson.

DJ Neptune Premieres ‘This Gbeduh Reloaded’ Video Ft Ice Prince, YQ, Shank

It took a while but it’s finally here, DJ Neptune‘s ‘This Gbeduh reloaded‘ went through a little transformation as it replaced ragga act Ruffman with rapper Ice Prince and together with Shank and YQ, a remix was born.
The song which premiered a little while ago might not have carried the energy of the first release but with a combination like this over a Dr. Frabz beat, you won’t mind.
Here’s the video to the potential hit song directed by OneSoul

Nostalgia And Fun As Four Divas Lead Tribute To Late Christy Essien

Tuesday, September 6, 2011 will remain etched in memory as Nigerian entertainment giants recreated glamour, class and nostalgia all in memory of the departed Lady of Songs, Christy Essien-Igbokwe (MFR), at the popular Nite Shift Coliseum, Opebi, Lagos.
The Red Carpet Tribute Night hosted by actress Kate Henshaw and TV host Frank Edoho paraded a rich mix of senior actors, TV personalities and musicians. From the likes of Bob Manuel-Udokwu, Clarion Chukwurah, Bisi Olatilo, Patrick Doyle, Shina Peters, Stella Monye, to Onyeka Onwenu among others.
And a younger generation represented by Yinka Davies, Lilian Bach, Emeka Ossai, Kween, Eva, Stella Damasus, e.t.c thronged Guvno Caleb Olumese’s coliseum which had in time past played host to prominent people like Afrobeat Legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti and former Super Eagles coach, Clement Westerhof.
The tribute night was brilliant to every letter of the word. The coliseum was looking radiant. Drinks were in abundance, as well as appetizers. Event manager Edi Lawani was behind the main controls, speaking through his walkie-talkie throughout the whole time. It was smiles and cheers all the way as Ras Kinomo and Sunny Neji took turns to thrill the crowd although Stella Monye, one of the announced ‘Five Divas’ put up a cold look throughout the show. Onyeka Onwenu was spotted in the VIP corner while Stella Damasus sat at the regulars.
It was comical to see Eva d Diva lip-synch the National Anthem and a breather to see Benita Okojie save the day as Idol finalist Naomi and eventual Yeka and the MTN Project Fame winner Chidinmna sang flat when all four rendered Igbokwe’s ‘Seun re re’ number. The five divas were cut to four as Chidinma never came back on stage. Stella Monye was smooth on with her performance and Stella Damasus was graceful. But it was Yinka Davies that tore the place up with her sexy, sassy performance!
Onyeka might not have toppled the other performances but it was nice to hear her voice again as she performed alongside Kaka, Christy Essien’s son. Soon enough, almost everyone including the Igbokwe family got on stage and joined in the performance, dancing away.
Recorded tributes from colleagues were played and overall it was indeed a befitting Tribute Night to the Lady of Songs… The pictures below tell the rest of the story.

NETPod: Suspect Returns With ‘Gbogbo Suspect’

Tha Suspect is talented – He sings, raps and produces. This could also pose be a problem; where does he strong potentials really lay in? He has however tried to remain relevant since his introduction a few years back.
A debut release which looked more like a compilation album wasn’t his best shot but garnered enough attention for him. Well above average. This however has been a slight issue for the multi-genre producer.
His new releases ‘Gbogbo Suspect‘ and ‘The way you love me‘ ft Bruno Barudi and rapper Illbliss present a perfect contrast. The first falls short of style as Suspect’s overbearing lyrics dampened the energy. But on the techno laced, energetic The way you love me, he shows his prowess as a producer and singer while Illbliss’ fill up verse gives the sound a diverse edge.
