NETPod: Lindsey Brings Nostalgia With ‘The 90′s Song’

Lindsey is back! After a stint at the MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 3, she released her first single ‘Drift away‘ and received commendable comments and response.
A member of M.I‘s Loopy Music which includes other acts like Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, Ruby, Lindsey says her music has been influenced by Roberta Flack, Sade,Eva Cassidy,Sarah McLachlan, Norah Jones and Corinne Bailey Rae. Although a native of the Igbo Speaking part of Delta State she was born and bred in Jos by her choir member mum,a university Disc Jockey dad and a pianist grandfather. She calls the genre of her music Neo-soul/Alternative.
If you are an 80s baby, then ‘The 90′s song’ will squeeze the emotions out of you. Remember the baggy clothes and the easy dance steps. Girls in box braid hair dos and the guys in their punks. Heavy snares and a jiggy base line. Lindsey soothing vocals lets you grab the picture better. Brilliant song.
