Petey Pablo Sentenced to 35 Months in Prison For Firearm Case


US rapper Petey Pablo was sentenced to 35 months in Federal Prison on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 after pleading guilty to ‘possessing a firearm.
Born Moses Barrett III, Petey Pablo who scored the hit songs ‘Raise Up’ and ‘Freak-a-leek’ in 2010, tried to conceal a loaded gun in his bag from security while from travelling from Raleigh-Durham to Los Angeles.
The gun was however discovered by an X-ray machine as airport authorities and Pablo was immediately arrested.
Officials say the investigation showed the gun had been stolen during a 2005 home burglary case in Gardena, California.
Pablo is credited with two albums ‘Diary of a Sinner: 1st Entry’ in 2001 and ‘Still Writing in My Diary’: 2nd Entry’ in 2004.
